According to the domestic investment banking (IB) industry, there is a growing number of cases where domestic and international venture capital firms and accelerators are creating and operating acceleration programs for global companies. An official from a cross-border VC firm stated that while companies previously entered the market primarily by establishing subsidiaries or branches in Japan, an increasing number are now seeking to use Korea as their Asian hub. The explanation is that as Korea's status rises due to K-culture and content, and government support programs expand, programs designed to help foreign entrepreneurs settle in the country are being organized, led by global investment firms that have entered the market.
